Kay Burley ‘to leave Sky News Breakfast Show’ after five years Kay Burley is reportedly set to leave the Sky News Breakfast Show.
Burley has worked in journalism for 40 years, having also worked for BBC Local Radio, presented on LBC Radio, written for the Sunday Mirror, and occasionally appeared on Channel 5’s news bulletins.
Speaking on the impact of her reported departure, a Sky News insider said: ‘It would be massive if she left.’.
She broke the news of Princess Diana’s death shortly after 5am in August 1997 and broke the first UK reports of the 9/11 attacks.
The following year, she was a key figure in Sky’s coverage of the General Election and the wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.
