"After five years, we are pleased to finally have justice for Dotson's multiple victims," Shelby County assistant district attorney Regina Lucreziano said.
A self-declared "serial killer" who likened himself to the fictional Halloween character Michael Myers has been sentenced to a further 159 years in jail.
He was convicted last year of the murder of his ex-girlfriend Jamesha Covson and her unborn baby, and was jailed for 102 years, according to Shelby County prosecutors.
Ms Covson, 19, was several months pregnant when Dotson shot through her door and broke into her home in June 2020.
Witnesses said Dotson left the scene but returned and shot Ms Covson several times.
