AC Milan expect Kyle Walker in Italy on Tuesday ahead of formalising his move from Manchester City. The 34-year-old has been negotiating to leave City on a free ahead of agreeing a two and a half year deal with the Serie A side. Walker has endured a difficult season with the champions, with a noticeable drop in form from a player considered the best right back in the league's history.
During his side's slump in the middle of the campaign, he announced publicly that he wanted a move away from the Etihad. The deal will rule out Milan from signing another British player this window such as Marcus Rashford. The Manchester United striker remains a target for Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona while Napoli have considered an approach.
Kyle Walker is close to sealing a move from Manchester City to Italian giants AC Milan. The full-back has agreed a two and a half year contract with the Serie A side. Milan have Chelsea's Joao Felix on a list of potential alternative targets. Felix joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid for £42.7m in August, having previously spent the second half of the 2022-23 season on loan at Stamford Bridge.
On Saturday, Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirmed AC Milan's interest in Walker, and was hugely complimentary in his assessment of the English right back. 'Everyone knows that Walker is a great player, he did great things at City,' the legendary former Sweden and Manchester United striker told DAZN before Saturday's defeat by Juventus.
