"Thanks to the hard work of crews, the fire is now largely extinguished with just one area still requiring the attention of firefighters," said Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service.
The fire service said this morning it was tackling a blaze "involving heavy good vehicles" on Ennis Close and advised locals to keep windows and doors shut.
A large fire on an industrial estate near Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester has been mostly extinguished.
An update on X at lunchtime said the situation was largely under control.
