Liam Payne's partner Kate Cassidy 'reunites with their dog' after getting tribute tattoo

Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy has marked the new year by reuniting with their rescue dog after getting a tattoo tribute for her late partner. The former One Direction singer tragically died in October aged just 31 after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Kate, who had been in a relationship with the late singer since 2022, had been with Liam in Argentina before his death. They had reunited with his former bandmate Niall Horan as they watched his concert.
Kate decided to fly back to the couple’s home in Miami just days before Liam's death as he had stayed behind to renew his US visa. Paying tribute to her late boyfriend in a heartfelt social media post, Kate revealed they had been hoping to take their relationship to the next level and shared how '444' had been "angel numbers" for them.
As the year came to an end, Kate reportedly spent it in New York with her close friends. She was also joined by the rescue dog that she and Liam had adopted earlier in the year. Nala was adopted by the couple from Urgent Dogs of Miami in the summer and Liam declared at the time: "I am in love.".
“New Year’s Eve won’t be a celebratory occasion but she’s got her nearest and dearest around her," a source told the Sun. “Nala is also a huge source of comfort. In many ways, she’s all Kate has left of Liam.” Two months on from Liam's tragic death, Kate appeared to have got a tattoo tribute in memory of him.
She reportedly has two angel wings inked on her fingers and shared a photo of her tattoo while cuddling Nala. As the caption of the post, Kate simply put a red heart emoji. Kate paid tribute to her late partner just days after his death. She wrote in a statement: "Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way. I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real.
