LIV Golf has secured a multi-year broadcast deal with FOX Sports, marking a significant milestone for the breakaway league. The Saudi Arabia-backed circuit, which has attracted several top players since its 2022 launch, had previously struggled to secure a major TV partner in the United States. LIV's events have been streamed on its app and aired on The CW, but the FOX deal brings added credibility. It also promises to increase the league's exposure.

Streaming and viewing figures for LIV have been disappointing in key areas such as the U.S. and the UK – where it still lacks a broadcast partner – but the move to FOX offers a stronger platform to compete with PGA Tour events. The broadcast agreement was announced on Thursday, just a day after the league confirmed that Greg Norman had been replaced as CEO.

The outspoken Aussie, who has been the face of the league since its inception, driving its creation and leading efforts to attract players from the PGA Tour, has been succeeded by Scott O'Neil, a former executive for the New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Eagles. While Norman will remain with the league, O'Neil has taken over the day-to-day operation.

"We are thrilled to partner with FOX Sports, one of the preeminent broadcast networks in the world," said O'Neil about the impressive broadcast deal. "LIV Golf is getting bigger and bolder, and this relationship signals the next phase of growth as our League joins the company of the nation's premier sports leagues and conferences.".
