A London bar is offering cut-price pints for those who have already had enough of their new year’s resolutions. Market Place Vauxhall is offering pints of Asahi beer for just 17p on Friday, January 17 to mark what is known as ’Quitter’s Day’. Usually falling on the second Friday of the month, the day has earned its name because it is the day of year when most resolutions fail as Brits decide they can no longer stick to their proposed health kicks.

And for those who opted to give up the booze but have already had enough, one bar has your back. Londoners yearning to break their Dry January promises can head to the bar at lunchtime between midday and 2pm and after confessing your abandoned pledge, you’ll be able to buy a pint of Asahi for just 17p.

Holly Hilton, Marketing Director of Market Place, said: “Let’s be honest, most of us set unrealistic goals after over-indulging during December. Rather than feeling guilty about it, why not embrace the fact we’re perfectly imperfect with an almost-free pint in good company?.

“After all, you’ll be with others who agree life’s too short and have also broken their Dry January vow!”. Market Place is a street food market and bar with branches in Vauxhall, Peckham Harrow and Hounslow. The offer will be available at the Vauxhall establishment. The 17p pints will be available to the first 100 customers.
