Commuters are facing disruption on the railways this morning with a key line through south-east London closed amid “urgent repairs” to the track. A large number of Southeastern trains into London Victoria, Charing Cross and Blackfriars have been cancelled due to the problem at Beckenham Junction.
National Rail says a broken rail was discovered by inspectors during an inspection of the track. As of 7.45am, it was predicting the disruption is likely to last until midday.
