London isn’t exactly short of skyscrapers, but only one of them is home to the city’s highest restaurant… or rather, restaurants. 22 Bishopsgate, which Brits have described on Reddit as ‘imposing’, stands at 278m tall and is mostly made up of office space, as well as a foodie hub known as The Market. But if you take the lift (Europe’s fastest, ascending eight metres per second) up to the 60th floor, which is an eye-watering 269 metres above ground, you’ll also find three brand new openings by Gordon Ramsay.

There’s a new version of Gordon’s iconic Lucky Cat restaurant, as well as Lucky Cat Bar, and a luxury chef’s table experience known as Restaurant Gordon Ramsay High. The latter, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay High, is the most interesting and exclusive of the new openings, with just 12 seats positioned to face the floor-to-ceiling-windows, looking out over London. It’s so high up, that Gordon himself recently told CN Traveller at times the restaurant is ‘literally in a cloud’ and that getting food up there involves ‘great prep and planning’.

Guests can swivel their seats to switch between admiring the jaw-dropping view, to watching the top tier chefs (James Goodyear and his team) creating a unique fine dining experience for them, in the dark marble kitchen. What’s more, they’ll be encouraged to go into the chef’s space to see first-hand what they’re making and how it all works. The menu reimagines iconic dishes from the original Restaurant Gordon Ramsay on Royal Hospital Road, adding a modern twist. Highlights include the legendary Pecan Parfait, reinterpreted with a fresh flavour profile, and the iconic Parker House Roll, transformed into a sharing-style centrepiece. Each course is paired with an expert-led beverage selection.

But one of the dozen seats doesn’t come cheap – the booking alone requires a deposit of £150 per person (although this will later be deducted from the final bill). The website shows that diners then enjoy an eight-course menu, which is a further £250 per person, and there’s a 15% service charge as well. The new Lucky Cat restaurant and bar is the fourth restaurant of its kind, offering a ‘unique Asian dining experience’. This is located on the same floor as Restaurant Gordon Ramsay High, meaning it offers the same panoramic views of the capital, with 360-degree views.

To get the latest news from the capital visit Metro's London news hub. But instead of 12 seats, this one boasts 120, and unlike the others there are 30 new dishes on the menu, including Soft Shell Crab Maki, Uni Toast and ‘The World of Wagyu’ with prime cuts from around the globe. Those looking for a quick bite will be able to do so in a more affordable manner as well, with an express lunch menu on offer for a power-hour that features three courses for £35.

DJ sets will als be taking place every day of the week, with the music starting at 5pm and finishing at 1am on Monday to Friday, from midday to 1am on Saturday, and 12pm to 8pm on Sundays. If all of this weren’t enough, 22 Bishopsgate also features a new Gordon Ramsay Academy, powered by Hexclad. This can be found on Level 58 and will offer hands-on classes to help boost people’s skills and confidence in the kitchen. People can learn how to create bao buns, make homemade pasta, and perfect the iconic Beef Wellington, while still enjoying that impressive skyline view.

Speaking about the new openings, Gordon Ramsay said: ‘I’ve been lucky enough to open restaurants all over the world, but there’s something truly unique about London. It’s where my journey began, and it’s the city I’m proud to call home. Watching it evolve into a global culinary powerhouse has been remarkable. Building this beautiful space has been an ambitious project, but that’s exactly what makes Gordon Ramsay Restaurants so special— we never stop pushing boundaries.

‘I couldn’t be more excited to open three of our most iconic restaurants, all reimagined, taken to new heights, and built under one roof. It’s a dream come true and a major milestone for our business. All that and a place where anyone can come and level up their skills in the kitchen, it’s unbelievable. To offer exceptional food and drinks with some of the most stunning views of London’s skyline is truly amazing. It’s about creating something extraordinary for those who share our passion for great food and this incredible city.’.
