Not everyone tuning into Love Island was impressed on Monday night, with many fuming at ITV. Some fans were calling for a shake-up after noticing something about the launch episode on ITV2, hosted by Maya Jama. With an air-time of one hour and 30 minutes, featuring drama, tension and twists, fans were left annoyed over the constant advert breaks.
It felt like every 10 minutes or so there was another set of breaks, no doubt to keep up the tension. But after one too many cliffhangers fans fumed, calling out the constant ads and saying "there's no need". Fans wanted less ads and more action, calling for a stop to it. Taking to X, one viewer said: "STOP WITH THE AD BREAKS MAN." Another fan agreed: "ITV are you this broke??? We literally saw an ad two minutes ago.".
A third fan posted: "Didn’t we just have an ad break two seconds ago??" A further comment read: "There was no need for an ad break," as a fifth viewer posted: "I swear there’s an ad break every five minutes.". Advert breaks aside, there was plenty to unpack as exes were reunited, secret beef was predicted and the couples were announced. But right at the end there was another twist, as former Islander Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu joined as a bombshell once more.
Love Island All Stars 2025 returned on Monday night, with Maya hosting proceedings. The new batch of returning Islanders hit the villa for a second chance of love, with the launch teasing what was ahead. One the bill are former stars of the villa series Curtis Pritchard, Gabby Allen, Kaz Crossley, Nas Majeed and Marcel Somerville. Joining them are Scott Thomas, Olivia Hawkins, Catherine Agbaje, Luca Bish, India Reynolds, Ronnie Vint and Elma Pazar, with more bombshells yet to be announced.
