Discounted products include Cathedral City Mature Cheddar 300g, which was £3.75 and is now £2.50 and Asda Chicken Breasts was £4.40 now £4.00. Meanwhile Dolmio Bolognese 450g was £2.50 and is now £1.50, while Persil Wonder Wash was £7 now £3.00.

Other items included McCain Chips which are reduced by £1.60, meanwhile Birds Eye Omega Fish Fingers are now only £1.25 but used to be £3. David Hills, Chief Customer Officer at Asda said: 'We know that as we come out of the festive period, budgets can be a concern for many families.

'Our Big Jan Price Drop aims to ease that burden and make money stretch further for our customers, by reducing the prices of the products they're buying week in, week out, continuing to offer uncompromising value to all.'. The Big Jan Price Drop comes as the Asda income tracker revealed that despite household spending power continuing to improve, rising inflation is expected to continue to pose challenges for families in 2025.

Asda will slash the price of over 2,500 products both in-store and online this January, as part of its Big Jan Price Drop initiative. Elsewhere Asda is also continuing to offer its popular café winter warmer £1 meal deal throughout January and February to support the over 60’s this winter as they continue to face increased financial pressures during the colder winter months.
