Two rival supermarkets have reduced the price of a Turkey dinner with all the trimmings in the lead up to Christmas - amounting to just under £2 per head for six people. Aldi and Lidl are offering a range of key staples that make up for a traditional festive feast, including meat, vegetables and gravy, for as little as 15p.
Aldi will begin slashing prices from tomorrow, 17 December, while Lidl's full range, including its fresh turkey range, will be landing in stores from 19 December until 24 December, whilst stocks last. At Lidl, shoppers will be able to get their hands on one of the cheapest Christmas dinners on the market - available at just £11.26 for a family of six, equating to £1.87 per person.
The German-owned retailer boasts transparent pricing for all customers, as shoppers without a Lidl Plus card are also welcome to indulge in the offers. With prices of stuffing, gravy and Yorkshire puddings dropping from 17 December, and fresh turkey and vegetables further decreasing on 19 December, shoppers can secure the full range of goodies and begin prepping before the big day.
Lidl's Birchwood Small Whole Turkey will be available at £2.95 per kilo, with a 3kg bird totalling just £8.85. Meanwhile, Brussels Sprouts (500g), Parsnips (500g), and Carrots (1kg) will be reduced to 15p, while a 2kg bag of Potatoes will also be priced at just 15p.
