Man Utd star's agent confirms transfer exit stance after receiving 'many offers'

The agent of Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has confirmed that they've received 'many offers' to leave the Red Devils - but he wants to stay. Bayindir, 26, joined United from Turkish giants Fenerbahce last summer and has only played four times in the 18 months since. The Turkey international's most recent appearance and biggest game to date was away to Tottenham in last month's Carabao Cup quarter-final tie.
Unfortunately for Bayindir, it was a horror show. The 26-year-old failed to impress, conceding four goals including one straight from a corner kick. His performance appears to have cemented manager Ruben Amorim's plans to sign a new goalkeeper in 2025, one who can push current No.1 Andre Onana and seriously compete for the gloves, according to the MEN.
In the wake of that report, Bayindir's agent, Sefa Seyrek, has spoken about his client's future to Sports Digitale. "Altay had offers from many European clubs last summer," Seyrek explained. "There are currently clubs that are interested, but Altay wants to stay and play in Manchester. The club definitely does not want to lose Altay.".
His comments suggest that there'll be no movement in United's goalkeeping department until the summer, when Bayindir will have two years left on his contract. Veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton's deal expires in June while Onana, who United paid £47million to sign from Inter Milan in 2023, is under contract for another three-and-a-half years.
Amorim defended Bayindir following his erroneous display in United's calamitous 4-3 loss at Tottenham, having been asked whether the former Fenerbahce star had apologised to his team-mates in the dressing room. "No, he doesn't have to do that," the United boss, who reinstalled Onana for the next Premier League game, stated.
