Marcus Rashford has rubbished a report claiming that he has 'held talks with the Stellar agency' in a bid to accelerate a transfer away from Manchester United. It was claimed on Wednesday that the Red Devils forward had held talks with another agency in a bid to help him find a move away in January.
But the 27-year-old has taken to social media to set the record straight over the false report. In a post on his Instagram story, he wrote: "Been a lot of false stories written over past few weeks, but guys this is getting ridiculous - never met with any agency and don't have any plans to do so...".
Speculation over Rashford's future has been rife in recent weeks after the forward was omitted from several matchday squads by United's new head coach, Ruben Amorim. Rashford himself then opened the door to a transfer by admitting he was ready to seek pastures new. In an interview before Christmas, he said: "For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps. When I leave it's going to be 'no hard feelings'. You're not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That's me as a person.
"If I know that a situation is already bad I'm not going to make it worse. I'e seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person. When I leave I'll make a statement and it will be from me.". While Rashford is expected to move on from United in the coming months, he did make the matchday squad for Monday night's 2-0 defeat at home to Newcastle.
