M&S has undergone a marked shift in recent years in order to become one of the most fashionable shops on the high street. The chain will be adjusting its hours over the festive period so that its hardworking staff can enjoy a well-earned break. M&S have announced that they will be putting down the shutters at 7pm on Christmas Eve, which is an hour earlier than normal.

They will remain closed until December 27, before closing early again on New Year's Eve. The beloved supermarket and clothes shop will resume its regular hours on January 2, 2025, after taking another day off on New Year's Day. When the shop reopens after Boxing Day, their seasonal sale will begin and will last until January.

The sale is a perennial hit, so make sure to pick up an item while stocks last. M&S has become synonymous with Christmas, thanks to its festive TV adverts and foodhall goods. They stock everything from turkey to vegan nut roast, making it a great place to shop for your Christmas dinner.
Their 2024 Christmas advert starred the legendary comedian Dawn French, who comes face-to-face with a Christmas fairy. Thanks to the fairy, who is also played by the comedian, Dawn decorates her house for the season and hosts her own festive bash. M&S have had a range of celebrities representing their brand over the years, including Tom Daley, Twiggy and Sienna Miller.
