A suspected female crook nicknamed ‘The Devil’ has been gunned down in the street by hitmen. Zaida Andrea Sánchez Polanco got the moniker after allegedly being involved in a murder and a theft. She was found by a hotel where she was staying. The 27-year-old was immediately taken to a hospital but had died as a result of her severe injuries.

Armed men arrived at her hotel on motorcycles. They shot her five times and she was seen desperately trying to run from them. Zaida, who was staying in Medellín, Colombia, was seen lying lifeless on the ground after taking two bullets to her face, two in her arm, and one in her side.

Authorities are thought to be investigating whether she had been confused with the daughter of a pastor, who had already been tragically murdered. Last month, pastor Marlon Lora, his wife Yorley Rincon, and 24-year-old daughter, Angela Lora Rincon, were murdered by a gunman after attending church.

Police are unsure whether Zaida’s killers had believed her to be Angela, who was killed in Aguachica, Cesar, Colombia. The exact circumstances surrounding Zaida’s murder, which took place on Wednesday (January 22), have not yet been clarified. Since her death, her rocky past has caught the attention of local authorities, as reported by NeedToKnow. Zaida was the wife of Alexander González Pérez, known as ‘The Bald’, who was murdered days earlier in El Banco, Magdalena, Colombia.
