Morrisons is giving away 'free carrots for Rudolph' starting next week Morrisons is giving away free carrots once again this Christmas, to help children “prepare for Santa and Rudolph”.
Andy Todd, Carrot Buyer at Morrisons, said: “Thousands of families across the nation will excitedly be preparing for Father Christmas’s visit soon and we wanted to play our part in helping to ensure he and his team are well fed.
During the festive period, Morrisons carrot sales more than double in the week before Christmas compared to the previous week. They will be available in stands at the front of stores and shoppers will be able to help themselves.
Supermarket shoppers will be able to pick up free wonky carrots - which are vegetables that are either oversized or misshapen - in stores on December 21 and December 22.
But as well as helping families celebrate Christmas, the supermarkets say the move is designed to help reduce food waste.
