You think you know your partner until they drop a life-altering bombshell on you. When you get into a relationship with someone, you expect them to be honest about who they are and what sort of life they led before they met you. In the early days of a romance, you might talk to your partner about previous relationships you've had and how they ended, as well as letting them know about your family and the other people in your life.
But one woman has said her relatively new romance is already on the rocks because her boyfriend has confessed to her that he's been living a secret double life behind her back - and she doesn't know if she can ever trust him again. In a post on Reddit, the woman said she's been dating a man for the past two months, and believed she knew everything there was to know about his life. However, while they were both "kind of drunk" on New Year's Eve, the man decided to drop a huge bombshell on her - he has two children.
The woman found this particularly baffling because they'd been seeing each other over the Christmas period and he hadn't mentioned his kids once, despite it being likely that he had to buy presents for them and potentially visit them for the holidays.
Alarm bells also rang for the woman when she found out both children have different mothers and were born just four months apart, meaning her boyfriend got two women pregnant within a relatively short space of time. She is now suspicious that he could have cheated on one woman with the other, which has made her doubt his loyalty in their relationship.
