Not wanting to go out to the shop, Sam concocted the tasty snacks using what she already had at home. Her main ingredients were a frozen puff pastry, a jar of carmelised onions, and cheese. She began by chopping her soft cheese into bite-sized chunks. For her next step, she took a muffin trays and spritzed it with some oil.

She then cut the puff pastry in little squares and placed them in the tin, creating little cups. "Then you pop the cheese in and then add generous amount of the onion jam or cranberry sauce," Sam advised her audience. She then placed the tray into her oven, which she set to 180 degrees, for nine minutes.

The TikToker warned her followers that the snacks are going to be "boiling hot and bubbling" when they first come out of the oven. While she waited for them to cool down, she added an extra optional touch. Sam cut some rosemary up, placing "two or three sprigs" on top of each app.
