Myles Lewis-Skelly mocked Erling Haaland with his celebration after scoring Arsenal's third goal against Manchester City. Lewis-Skelly smashed the ball past Stefan Ortega to put the Gunners in firm control of Sunday evening's game. He had made his debut in the return fixture earlier in the season. During that game at the Etihad, Haaland was seen saying 'who the f*** are you?' towards the Arsenal youngster amid heated scenes at the final whistle. And in apparent retaliation for that jibe, Lewis-Skelly copied Haaland's celebration after scoring.

The 18-year-old raced to one of the corner flags before sitting down, crossing his legs, closing his eyes and holding his hands up in a medidiation pose. It is a celebration which has become synonymous with Haaland since his breakthrough at Borussia Dortmund. Lewis-Skelly started at left-back for the Gunners in Sunday's titanic Premier League clash, with his side trailing leaders Liverpool by nine points. Since the draw in September, City have endured a dreadful season and face a fight to claim a top four spot.

Sunday's hammering will pile the pressure on them, with Haaland largely kept quiet by Arsenal's defence, which included Lewis-Skelly. The youngster drew high praise for his display, with former England star Matt Upson insisting he should now be conceded Arsenal's first-choice left-back. "What a moment for this young man. How cool has Myles Lewis-Skelly taken that goal. His celebration is cool enough and it looks like he is meditating by himself," Upson told BB Radio 5 Live.

"What a moment this is. He knows his surroundings perfectly. He shifts it onto his weaker right foot, but hits a decent effort into the right post. What a game Myles Lewis-Skelly is having. Riccardo Calafiori is going to have one hell of a fight to get back into the team.". Haaland also drew a moment of mockery in the first-half when Martin Odegaard put Arsenal ahead inside two minutes. The Gunners skipper tapped in after Manuel Akanji lost the ball on the edge of his own area.

Arsenal defender Gabriel sprinted past Haaland to celebrate, screaming in the striker's face as he did so. Haaland got some payback 10 minutes after the break when he headed home City's equaliser. But the hosts were quickly back in front when Phil Foden misplaced a pass directly to Thomas Partey, whose shot cannoned off John Stones and into the net. Lewis-Skelly then made it three before Kai Havertz burst clear to curl in a fourth.

And in the dying embers of the game, sub Ethan Nwaneri fired in a brilliant fifth goal from the edge of the box after cutting inside.
