Netflix viewers rush to binge ‘masterpiece’ British comedy series starring Harry Potter legend A series praised by fans for its ‘dark British humour’ has quickly become one of the most watched shows since being released on Netflix this week.

Originally airing in 2017, Sick Note starred Rupert Grint as insurance agent Daniel Glass, a compulsive liar facing a failing relationship and dead-end job when things get even worse, and he’s diagnosed with terminal oesophageal cancer.

The show was added to Netflix today and in less than 24 hours, it’s already shot up the charts and become the fourth most-watched TV show on the streaming service.

After starring in Harry Potter, the actor admitted he felt pressure working on something else but he’d been keen to ‘have the chance to show that you can do different things’.
