Newsboy’s horseracing tips for Thursday’s three meetings, including Huntingdon Nap

KAITUNA RIVER is fancied to improve on a fencing-debut second at Southwell last month with a victory in the Join The 20 Club At Huntingdon Handicap Chase (2.35) at Huntingdon on Thursday. The winner of an Irish point-to-point – he had one start in the sphere – Alex Hales’ son of Ask captured one of his four starts over hurdles.Kaituna River started out over the larger obstacles against nine opponents in a handicap chase over two and a half miles in Cambridgeshire and ran a fine second to Theformismighty, jumping soundly and keeping on stoutly to the finish to be beaten 10 lengths by the Dan Skelton-saddled winner. The evidence of that run – and this is backed up by the fact he scored over this afternoon’s trip between the flags – is that three miles will see Kielan Wood’s mount in his best light yet.The British Horseracing Authority handicapper has left my selection unchanged on a rating of 114, and Kaituna River can take advantage.
At Newcastle, CHERRY KING has plenty going for him in the Boost Your Acca At BetMGM Classified Stakes (Div I) (5.40).Stuart Williams’ four-year-old caught the eye in handicap company at Chelmsford City on his latest start and looks well up to landing this.
