The CES 2025 tech show has wrapped up in Las Vegas, and Nvidia made some of the biggest announcements at the expo. It unveiled its new range of RTX 50-series graphics cards, which gamers worldwide will be eager to get their hands on for years to come.

We also got our first glimpse of what’s coming in the world of laptops. Most major manufacturers have teased at least a couple of new models. We don’t have the full details on UK prices or the exact release dates. However, Nvidia has confirmed that these gaming PCs will start appearing on shelves in “March 2025”.

The standout feature of these Nvidia RTX 50 gaming laptops is their impressive performance, rivalling that of more expensive last-gen models. For instance, Nvidia claims that a machine with an RTX 5070 card can deliver performance comparable to an RTX 4090 — a model with a much higher price point.

How? Nvidia’s next-generation DLSS technology is an upscaling feature that uses machine learning AI to generate more frames. This significantly boosts games’ frame rates beyond what was possible with the RTX 40 series cards. Here’s a brief overview of the RTX 50-packing laptops we’ve heard about.

When? “Q1 2025”. How much? Big money, TBC. The Razer Blade is among the most desirable gaming laptops. It looks and feels great — and features top-quality components. Typically, it comes at a high price. Razer claims it’s the “thinnest gaming laptop ever designed”. But a blog on the subject then ends the sentence with “… by Razer.” We’re referring to the 14.9mm thickness of the thinnest point in the laptop, so it’s not as exciting as it sounds.
