AN explosion at Trump Hotel has left one person dead and seven injured just hours after 10 people were killed in a terror attack in New Orleans. Police are looking into whether the blast at Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas was a "possible act of terror" after a Cybertruck pulled up to the front doors of the hotel and exploded.
Cops say the Cybertruck pulled right up to the glass entrance of the hotel. The Tesla started smoking and then blew up just before 9 am local time on Wednesday. The driver was killed and seven bystanders were injured in the blast. Investigators haven't been able to determine what caused the explosion and they're working to determine a motive.
The explosion came just hours after a suspected terrorist rammed a truck into a crowd celebrating New Year's in New Orleans, killing ten and wounding more than 30. The suspect in that incident was killed by police after he got out of his truck and started shooting at cops.
Police are now looking for associates of the suspect who may have helped him in the terror plot. A hotel guest shared video of the Tesla Cybertruck engulfed in flames just beyond the hotel's doors. "Cybertruck blew up in front of Trump hotel in Las Vegas. Those are our luggage by the door and that’s where we were when it happened," the guest wrote on X.
