A Reddit user has challenged others to spot their pet snake, a Kenyan sand boa, hiding in its vivarium - but it's much harder than you think. Brainteasers are known to keep those brain gears grinding. Just as we hit the gym to maintain our physical health, our brains require regular challenges, too. And what better practice than to try to find a snake hiding somewhere in its home, as it also acts as a useful skill if you ever find yourself near a snake's hiding spot in the wild.
Snakes are known for being able to camouflage and hide in their natural habitat. Kenyan sand boas in particular usually hide themselves in the sand and wait for prey to come closer before attacking. After posting a basically impossible brainteaser photo of their sand boa snake hiding in its vivarium, as you were only able to see a tiny part of its nose, one Reddit user posted a second photo of their snake hiding in its home, but people are still struggling to find the snake.
Ready to give a go? Try to find the snake below!. TOP TIP: Zoom in on the Reddit post linked above for a better view. The bedding with its repeated square patterns may throw you off, cleverly camouflaging the snake. Some sharp-sighted players might have already spotted it, while others will still be frantically searching. People took to the comments to discuss their thoughts, with many saying they still couldn't find the camouflaged sand boa no matter how long they stared at the photo.
One person commented: "This sub Reddit has taught me I’m gonna die if I ever live in a place that has snakes.". "Yay I can see sock now! A very cute snake!" a second person wrote, while a third user said: "I couldn't find the snake, and now I have to remind myself not to underestimate the cunning of snakes.". If you're still looking, you may want to stop reading now, as the answer is coming up.... If you zoom in on the bottom right corner of the photo, you can see the he snake hiding in the dirt. but only its head can be seen poking out of the dirt close to the glass wall of the vivarium.
While some people found it difficult to find the snake, others were quick to share their excitement in the comments after spotting the snake. "Bottom right, above the electric cord reflexion, left of the dark brown patch of dirt. Almost looks like a pebble... lol" one person commented. "Finally. I took too much time looking for him on the last post. He is on the very bottom towards the right side.," a second person said, while a third user exclaimed: "He does exist!".
