A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: "Officers are in attendance on Teale Street in Scunthorpe after we were called to reports of a property on fire at 3.35am [on Monday morning].

In a statement issued following the fire on Tuesday, Humberside Police explained that officers found the remains of a cannabis farm that had caught alight in the home.

Humberside Fire and Rescue were eventually able to douse the flames, and police made a significant discovery while combing through the building's burned-out wreckage.
