Prince William 'uses secret name' to follow gossip on Aston Villa fan forums

Prince William reportedly uses a pseudonym to gossip about Aston Villa on fan forums and keep tabs on club rumours. The Prince of Wales is one of Aston Villa's most famous supporters and can often be spotted at their games along with his son Prince George. William has even been a regular face at Villa's Bodymoor Heath training ground and has had chats with boss Unai Emery.
Now it appears the prince has taken his love of Villa to the next level after claims he is a big presence in Villa's fan forums, using a secret name to protect his identity. William recently enjoyed a trip to Birmingham where he had drinks with Aston Villa fans at a Wetherspoons pub at New Street station, and one of the supporters who was involved has revealed how the prince's love of fan forums.
"He said he keeps abreast of Villa gossip because he is on all the fans’ forums,” Steve Jones, one of the fans asked to join Prince William at the pub, told The Athletic. "He goes under different names and he posts on there because that’s how he gets the feeling of what’s going on and what’s the opinion.".
The meeting with the prince was kept under wraps, with Jones himself contacted by the club to meet William but only telling him a time and a place, refusing to tell him who he was meeting until he arrived. Jones and the fans were stunned by his arrival, as he continued: “We asked his team how should we address him. They simply said, ‘He’s off duty, he’s here of his own time, so call him what you want, Will or William’. There was no briefing — we could talk about whatever.”.
