When we think loyalty cards and rewards apps, we usually envision discounts on food or a free coffee after ten visits. But for one woman in Australia, her supermarket rewards program turned out to be the key to unlocking a heartbreaking secret - her husband's affair.

The story has been shared on TikTok by private investigator, Cassie, based in both Queensland and New South Wales, who was hired to help unearth an unlikely trail of betrayal. In a video, Cassie, who goes by @venusinvestigations on the social app, explained how her client voiced her suspicions about her husband being unfaithful, which spurred the investigator to come up with an unconventional suggestion.

The couple in question, who lived in Queensland, had been married for several years - until the wife began to notice a disturbing pattern: her husband started making frequent trips to New South Wales to visit his family. While, at first, this seemed innocent, the increasing number of trips began raising red flags, as they were something that had not had a place in his regular day-to-day routine.

After the wife voiced her concerns to Cassie, the private investigator decided to look into the couple's joint Flybuys rewards account, which can be used at more than 20 retailers across Australia. She explained in the clip: 'It's something we don't typically think about, but these reward apps can be a goldmine of information.'.
