Queen Mary of Denmark showed off her altruistic side yesterday as she volunteered her evening at a homeless food centre. The Danish royal, 52, embraced the festive spirit in a stunning snowflake jumper on Tuesday evening as she arrived at NABO Center Amager in Copenhagen to help prepare a Christmas meal.

Mary appeared in good spirits as she chatted with volunteers at the food centre for the WeShelter Food Club Event, showing off her beautiful smile. Embracing the festive season, Mary slipped into a black and white turtle neck jumper with a snowflake design from Max Mara.

She paired the festive jumper with a stylish pair of oversized trousers in marl. The queen opted for a lowkey makeup look with a fresh flawless base, rose tinted cheeks and a touch of mascara. She wore her dark brunette tresses down around her shoulder and finished the look with a pair of stunning pearl earrings.

The WeShelter's Food Club - of which Mary is a patron - provides a hot meal a day to those experiencing homelessness or social disadvantage. Queen Mary of Denmark (pictured) showed off her altruistic side yesterday as she volunteered her evening at a homeless food centre.

The Danish royal, 52, embraced the festive spirit in a stunning snowflake jumper on Tuesday evening as she arrived at NABO Center Amager in Copenhagen to help prepare a Christmas meal. Joining volunteers at the NABO Centre Amager, Mary got stuck in overseeing the cooking of the Christmas meal, which in Denmark consists of roast pork and duck and boiled potatoes, red cabbage and gravy.
