From the approachable Glaswegian dialect to the instantly recognisable Edinburgh lilt, Scotland is home to some of the most distinctive accents in the UK. Now, Ring has revealed that it's so enamoured with Scottish accents that it has launched an entirely new voice for its doorbells.
The Scottish voice is available now across a series of audio messages, known as 'Quick Replies'. Users can choose between a range of fairly standard replies, such as 'Hi, we'll be right there,' and 'Please leave the parcel outside.'. However, those who really want to embrace their Scottishness can opt for a more unique response.
'We're no in the noo, but haud on!' your Ring doorbell can say. 'Afore ye go it'd be pure dead brilliant if you'd leave a wee message. Haste ye back!'. Here's how you can activate the Scottish voice on your Ring doorbell. Ring has revealed that it's so enamoured with Scottish accents that it's launched an entirely new voice for its doorbells.

'Once the feature is activated, and someone rings your doorbell, the visitor will hear a pre-selected message and can leave a reply, unless customised otherwise,' Ring explained.
