Ruben Amorim matches Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Matt Busby's Man Utd record in Rangers win History was made on Thursday as Ruben Amorim joined Manchester United's two greatest ever managers in the record books.
In beating Rangers, Amorim joined predecessors Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Matt Busby in winning his first three games in a major European competition as United manager.
Amorim's United recovered from a late setback to beat Rangers 2-1 in the Europa League, with Bruno Fernandes netting an injury-time winner.
It was also a much-needed result for Amorim, who'd labelled his side 'maybe the worst in United's history' after they sunk to a 3-1 loss at home to Brighton on Sunday and remained 13th in the Premier League.
The result moved United up into fourth place in the Europa League table, putting them on the cusp of qualifying for the knockout phase without needing the play-offs.
