Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott are set to awkwardly reunite on Michael McIntyre's Big Show, following their split. The couple reportedly parted ways in December after five years together, with Sam recently admitting that it had been a "really tough month".

At the weekend, Zara appeared to confirm that she has moved out of the West London home she shares with the former Made in Chelsea star, after filming a TikTok vlog that saw her wake up in a different house. Prior to their split, Sam and Zara filmed together for the latest series of Michael McIntyre's Big Show, which begins airing this Saturday (January 18) on BBC One.

The duo took part in the show's famous Midnight Gameshow segment, which sees the host burst into celebrities' bedrooms in the middle of the night to ask a series of fun questions. A trailer for the new series sees Michael unexpectedly waking Sam and Zara as they slept. As a speechless Zara looked on in shock, Sam hilariously exclaimed: "What the hell?".

Now, Michael has teased what viewers can expect from the "vintage" gameshow, with Sam and Zara becoming the first couple to be surprised at the same time. "Sam and Zara's Midnight Gameshow was a highlight too as they had locked their bedroom door from the inside! So, I couldn't get in!" he explained. "They were terrified as I had to knock on the door - but thankfully they then had the time of their lives.".

The new series will also feature a new item called Remember Me, which sees a celebrity come face-to-face with a person from any time in their past. The famous face must then try and guess how they know the mystery guest - whether it be the midwife who birthed them, a holiday romance, or the driver who escorted them to the theatre that day.
