Saturday Kitchen's Matt Tebbutt couldn't resist a cheeky jibe on the BBC programme when guest Mo Gilligan offered up his culinary know-how. The telly chef and host was at the helm for another episode of the beloved cookery show, joined by kitchen wizards Julie Lin and Adam Byatt, beverage expert Olly Smith, and comedian Mo Gilligan as the star guest.

It was a feast for the senses with an array of dishes being whipped up by the talented chefs. In the midst of the action, Mo got hands-on in the kitchen, helping Matt whip up a prawn dish harking back to the 1800s. However, when it came time to sample a previously prepared prawn plate, Mo chimed in, suggesting it lacked a certain something, reports the Express. He remarked: "I'm getting spice, I feel like it needs a bread!".

To which Matt quipped with a hint of sarcasm: "Yeah! Thanks for the tips!". The studio erupted into giggles, and Mo elaborated: "No, because I mean because you got some of the oil in there, it could just take up some of the oil.". But Matt had a retort ready, reminding Mo about the breadcrumb topping already adorning the dish.

The hilarity escalated shortly after, as Mo was struck by a sudden coughing spell live on air. With the show teetering, Matt playfully scolded, "stop choking on my show" while offering the spluttering comic a glass of water. Mo's face has become a familiar one on the telly, especially since taking up the mantle as a judge on ITV's hit series The Masked Singer.
