Senator John Fetterman arrived at Capitol Hill for President Donald Trump's inauguration in a very daring outfit - opting for shorts despite the freezing cold weather. While other guests donned their best looks to watch the swearing in of the 47th President of America, the Pennsylvania senator wore a black Carhartt hoodie, gray gym shorts and ON sneakers despite the formality of the event.
Fetterman, 54, was photographed sitting front row at the ceremony, with his legs spread in front of him. Trump's swearing-in was moved inside the Capitol rotunda due to the below-freezing weather and cold winds in Washington, D.C., with much of the ground frozen and icy from Sunday's rain and snow fall.
However, the arctic blast doesn't appear to bother Fetterman, who stuck with his usual casual attire. Social media users were agog at the Senator's decision, taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their disbelief over the chilly decision. 'John Fetterman wearing shorts to the inauguration after Trump wussed out because of the cold is a boss move,' declared one user.
'THIS GUY IS ABSOLUTELY NUTS,' laughed another. 'John Fetterman is a f**king disgrace. The end,' declared one disgruntled social media user. Another jokingly compared it to a scantily-clad Lauren Sanchez, who wore a white pantsuit with lacy lingerie peaking through. 'We got Fetterman wearing gym shorts, and Jeff Bezo's wife wearing this to the inauguration,' they joked, showing photos of the guests.
