Shock EastEnders development as Jack gets passionate with surprise local

There was surprise passion in Wednesday’s EastEnders and things got steamy between former enemies Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington). The pair had previously been at odds over Nicola’s son Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway). Jack had tried to bring Harry down over the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend Shireen to stop his romance with daughter Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine).

However, Harry later gained the upper hand after capturing incriminating footage of copper Jack, using it to blackmail him into doing illegal dealings for him. When Nicola stepped in to give Harry an alibi for the night of Shireen’s disappearance, charges against him were dropped, while Jack was also suspended from duty.

And during the latest episode of the BBC soap, Nicola got her wish after Jack suffered another knockback from ex-wife Denise Fox (Diane Parish) when she rejected his lunch invitation. Later drowning his sorrows at Harry’s Barn, club owner Nicola offered Jack a drink as a peace offering for over their previous dealings.
