Auditions for the ITV talent show were cancelled back in October in the wake of the shock death of Liam Payne earlier that month aged 31, after he fell from a third-floor hotel balcony in Argentina.

And now almost three months after the postponement, work on the show is back underway with Simon - who famously formed Liam's band One Direction - seen looking in a good mood in the seaside town.
