Russell wrote in one comment: ‘No, it’s not a cataract it’s like a floating cobweb and [his doctor] Mr Malik told me it’s a bleed behind the eye.
In 2023, Russell opened up about his brain tumour diagnosis, saying he was ‘ in denial before the gruelling six-hour operation in November 2022 which his family and friends encouraged him to undertake.
Taking to X, Russell wrote: ‘Monday: I woke with strange cottony things floating in my left eye.
