Sue Cleaver shares bed on holiday with GMB presenter for unusual reason

When Kym Marsh and Richard Arnold were asked to present new travel show, The Weekend Travel show, the pair slipped on their shades, grabbed their passports and reached for their cabin bags. Channel 5, however, had other ideas and the pair never left the TV studio, instead sending intrepid celebrities in search of sun, sea and sand.
Among the lucky celebs jetting off were Jane McDonald, Cleo Rocos, Susan Calman and father and son duo Larry and George Lamb who got to grips with aeroplanes, cruise ships and, the less glamorous, caravans. Despite not being able to join them to glamorous destinations and enjoying breakfast in an infinity pool, Richard and Kym have had their fair share of trips over the years.
The duo aren't alone in the studio, as they're joined by travel expert Simon Calder who gives lots of tips to help viewers plan the perfect trip. However, Richard, who loves going on holiday with friends has some travel tips of his own. His top tip to keep costs down is to share a bed with a pal, admitting he often bunks in with Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw. “Sue and I have been to several places and in the name of economy we always share a bed,” confesses Richard. “Sue and I travel very well together.”.
Kym reveals she also picks a Corrie star for a holiday buddy, even though she quit playing the soap’s Michelle Connor in 2019. For Kym, it’s Alison King, who plays Carla Connor. “I’ve been on holiday with Alison several times and we’re obviously very close,” says Kym. “We’ve been away on our own and with our children. As long as you’re with a friend – someone who knows you, you can’t go wrong.”.
