Mother-of-22 Sue Radford angered fans after she 'falsely leading viewers' to believe she was diagnosed with dementia. On Sunday night's episode of 22 Kids And Counting, she became distant from her husband Noel, 54, and gradually looked more stressed. He said: "I'm a bit worried about Sue, she's been really quiet today which isn't like her. She's always like chatty, bubbly. Doesn't seem the usual Sue. So I'm a little bit like 'What's going on?'".

In an attempt to find out what was going through her mind, he set up a coffee date for the couple but she didn't show up. He later asked his daughter, Sophie, to help and the 31-year-old took her mum for a day out in hopes it would make her feel better.

Noel was extremely concerned for his wife, who he has been married to for 33 years. One scene even showed him finding a leaflet for dementia in the family car. However, it was soon revealed it wasn't Sue that had dementia, but a long-time friend of hers.

When he asked her to explain what happened, she said her close friend was diagnosed with dementia. Sue revealed: "I am sorry, it's been awful. But now she's told her family, I can tell you, so... she's got early onset dementia." A distraught Sue said: "'It's really upset me, especially when she's got youngish children as well. You don't expect that, do you?.

''You kind of think, don't you, that it's something you get when you're maybe 70, 80 - it's not something you think of in your late 40s, is it? It's knocked me for six. I feel like 'Wow, that could happen to anybody, couldn't it?'' Fans slammed the episode as 'distasteful' as they claimed they were set up to believe Sue had dementia.
