Superman fans go wild for trailer as beloved Krypto the Superdog seen for first time

Superman's first trailer has been released as a beloved character makes his debut. The new film, which will simply be called Superman, will be directed by James Gunn and star David Corenswet as the Man of Steel. A first snippet of the highly anticipated movie has been released that gives fans a tease over what to expect. Corenswet donned the iconic blue and red suit as he made his first look as the Last Son of Krypton.
The trailer hasn't given much away to fans yet all the key characters made an appearance. Rachel Brosnahan's Lois Lane featured alongside Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult), Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillon), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced) and Mr Terrific (Edi Gathegi). However, fans have been thrilled at the inclusion of one particular character.
Krypto the Superdog, Superman’s pet dog, made a special appearance in the clip. Krypto has many of the same powers as his owner and is even seen rescuing Superman in the trailer. Superman lay bloodied in the show as Krypto comes to the rescue. Director James Gunn shared the trailer and said: “Here you go: the Superman trailer. Krypto, take us home.”.
Fans went wild as Clerks and Mallrats director, Kevin Smith said: “Good boy, Krypto! Great boy, @JamesGunn!” DC Comics writer Tom King added: “Hell yeah”. A fan shared: “THEY GOT KRYPTO IN THIS? I have got the biggest smile on my face right now.” Someone else commented: “I truly don’t know why anyone ever doubts James Gunn.
"The #Superman trailer feels every bit like the triumphant new era for DC that this movie needs to be. David Corenswet exudes Big Superman Energy. And you just know Gunn is going to make you fall in love with Krypto. Excellent.” Another wrote: “Let’s be real the best part of that trailer was Krypto. THAT’S MY BOYYYYYYYYYY”.
