Teddi Mellencamp has revealed how she spent her first Christmas without her ex-husband and kids - just months after a source alleged to DailyMail.com that she had been embroiled in a months-long affair with her horse trainer, Simon Schröeder. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star took to Instagram on December 25 to dish on what she was doing for the holiday, and she admitted that it was her first time celebrating it alone.
Mellencamp filed for divorce from her husband of 13 years, Edwin Arroyave, citing irreconcilable differences on November 1, and listed October 20 as their date of separation. Arroyve and Mellencamp share three children together - daughter Slate, 12, son Cruz, 10, and daughter Dove, four, and she admitted that this Christmas was the first she's spent without them.
On Instagram, the former reality TV star made a video re-creating the scene from Bridget Jone's Diary, where Renée Zellweger's character sings the song All by Myself while crying in her pajamas. In her clip, Mellencamp was doing the same in a pair of green pajamas.
'In my Bridget Jones era. If I didn’t laugh at myself, I would cry,' she wrote in the caption of the post. 'First Christmas without my kids, and I know they’re in great hands with an amazing dad, but that doesn’t mean I can’t feel some type of way,' the post continued.
