Tesco worker shares 'genius' new product in meal deal that no one talks about

Tesco's meal deal just got a whole lot better, as the supermarket giant has introduced a warming new option to its lunchtime offerings, which make a perfect addition on these cold winter days. Meal deals are one of the most common lunches in the country. The supermarket recently revealed that the most popular meal deal changed from previous years, with most shoppers in 2024 opting for a Chicken Club sandwich, an Egg Protein Pot, and a bottle of Coca-Cola.
However, this might change again this year as Tesco recently added a new type of food as an option for the meal deal snack, and it has left people running to their nearest shop to try it out. Nathan Lorenzo, a 27-year-old Tesco employee, took to TikTok to reveal the latest addition to the meal deal, which includes a main, a snack and a drink – and it's perfect for chilly British weather.
"I don't know who needs to hear this, but Tesco are now doing – wait for it – soup in the meal deal," he announced. "And I think this is absolute genius from Tesco because it's absolutely freezing in the UK right now. And what do you do when you're cold? You have soup, or something hot!".
He showed his choice of a New Covent Garden Creamy Tomato soup, which now counts as a snack in the deal. "As a snack! It's not even as the main, as a snack," he said excitingly. Tesco's website confirms that customers can pick either Nathan's choice or New Covent Garden's Classic Chicken Soup as their snack, alongside a main and a drink for £3.60 for Clubcard members and £4 for non-members.
