The period between Christmas and New Year is a particularly good time for this – unless you work in retail and are going to spend that week battling to tidy up the sale rails, in which case you more than anyone deserve some time with your feet up in front of the television each evening.
Well, Google has laid out its ‘year of search’ for 2024 and it’s revealed the most looked-up TV programmes in the UK this year, which should give you an excellent idea of the must-watch shows worth catching up on.
Of course, there is loads of great Christmas TV coming to our screens, from the Gavin & Stacey Christmas special to a new Wallace & Gromit film, the first from the beloved Aardman franchise in 16 years.
However, it’s also an opportunity to catch up on some of the best series that may have passed you by in the year gone by.
