There’s nothing more relaxing than a spa day, but bougie saunas and lengthy treatments don’t exactly scream ‘bargain’. If you’re looking to relax without spending your entire life savings though, there’s a ‘hidden’ UK spa you need to know about.
Located inside an old Victorian warehouse, the spa is a subterranean paradise. And the best bit? It costs just £30 to enter. Tucked away inside the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool Maya Blue Wellness, an accessible spa open to the public as well as its guests.
The hotel itself used to be the North Warehouse, built back in 1846. After the 14-storey building was vacated, it was left derelict for 30 years – until the hotel and spa opened in 2014. A £30 spa day in an 1850s warehouse 🧖♀️🫧❄️ #uk #uktravel #liverpool #spa #spaday #england.
Now, there are steam rooms, showers, thermal pools, saunas and even foot baths. Consider us firmly pampered. Entry for non-residents costs just £30 per person, but you’ll need to be organised. Open only between Tuesday and Thursday, it’s subject to availability and by appointment, so you’ll need to get in there sharpish.
If you’re already staying at the hotel, it’s even cheaper. You can access £20 sessions between 8am and 10am, and 6pm and 8pm. And it’s quickly becoming a favourite. TripAdvisor user Sasha Marie went for a birthday spa treatment and said she was ‘blown away’ by the service.
