Between buying Christmas presents, attending festive catch-ups and enjoying New Year's Eve celebrations, this time of year tends to get expensive. Thankfully, it's also the time of year when lots of stores start some of their biggest sales of the year.

During this process we get to see everything that's going into the sale - the second it goes live!. We've compiled a list of our favourite sale buys this season so you don't have to. Jessica Carroll, junior fashion stylist and writer. New Balance Trainers. Trainers, £75 (was £150), New Balance. A chunky trainer is a wardrobe staple, but they can also get pricey. These New Balance trainers are one of this season's most in-demand styles and, at half price, are a steal!.

Arket Coat. Coat, £83 (was £169), Arket. Sale season is always a great time to look for a new winter coat. I love this quilted number from Arket - it looks much more expensive than the £83 price tag. Fatface Jeans. Jeans, £42 (was £55) Fatface. Since barrel leg jeans emerged as a trend earlier this year, they've quickly become my go to silhouette. These Fatface jeans are the perfect mid blue wash and (even better!) are less than £45 in the sale.
