Martin Clunes had This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary in a state of shock as he candidly spoke about the frequent deaths on his farm. The 63-year-old actor was on the show to chat about his upcoming drama, Out There, which will hit ITV screens on January 19th. While discussing the new thriller, Martin also delved into his life away from the cameras, including updates on his Dorset farm.

Back in 2007, Martin and his wife took over Higher Meerhay, a 130-acre farm in Beaminster, which he jokingly calls a "rubbish zoo", is populated with cows, sheep, and chickens. However, Alison and Dermot were taken aback by his frank talk about the challenges with his livestock. He exclaimed, "Well, we started with a load of sheep. They're annoying!".

When Dermot enquired: "What's the most annoying thing about farming sheep?" Martin responded: "Lambs are nice, they're fun and they play. But then they grow into sheep and they're charmless. And they die for a pass time. Anything going!". He continued with an anecdote, saying: "I had a ram once who just lent up against the fence, like that and went, 'I'm going to die now.' And that's where he was, that's where I found him. Leant up against the fence dead. Idiot!".

Fans flocked to social media platform X to express their views after hearing Martin's tale, with one follower bursting into laughter: "Martin Clunes talking about farming (and sheep in particular! ! )," accompanied by chuckles in emoji form. Another chimed in: "Love Martin Clunes. Must be one of the nicest blokes in the business.".
