The dark thriller is the saga of a team of high school girls soccer players who become the survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. Starring the likes of Christina Ricci, Melanie Lynskey and guest star Hilary Swank, the twisted drama centres on a girl’s high school football team forced to survive in the wilderness after their plane crashes on the way to the 1996 nationals.

Leaping to and fro between the teenagers’ time in the winter-ravaged backwoods and their present-day lives, Yellowjackets explores the impact of their harrowing acts of survival, including resorting to cannibalism. Yellowjackets is returning on Valentine’s Day with season 3’s first official trailer teasing what’s to come leaving fans ‘screaming, crying and throwing up.’.
