TV fans think the ‘greatest scene in history’ has already aired in 2025

A Spanish man has created what TV viewers have called ‘the greatest scene in history’ after absolutely losing it watching his girlfriend get it on with another guy. José Carlos Montoya is one of the contestants on the current season of the risqué dating series La Isla de las Tentaciones.

Based on the American series Temptation Island, which initially aired in 2001, the series sees couples travel to a tropical island where their relationships are tested with singles who try and persuade them to have affairs. Unsurprisingly, over the years it’s drawn plenty of criticism, but the latest episode of the Spanish series has left viewers gobsmacked by hugely dramatic scenes. In it, Montoya has been taken away from the resort with host Sandra Barneda where he is shown live footage of his girlfriend Anita Williams in a room with another man – Manuel.

When it becomes clear they are about to have sex, Montoya is obviously raging. You don’t have to speak Spanish to know how shocked he is by what’s unfolding in real time, with the first indication he’s about to be cheated on coming when he sees Manuel lick his girlfriend’s face as they lie in bed and then start kissing. Starting to yell at the TV screen, Montoya gets increasingly stressed and tries to run off before being stopped by the host.

Anita and Manuel then turn off the lights and get under the sheets as Montoya drops to his knees crying and screaming. Deciding he’s seen too much he then starts running towards the ocean and sprints back to the resort as the camera crew desperately try to catch up with him. As Sandra calls out his name and starts chasing him down herself too, footage shows Anita and Manuel in bed having sex. Making it back to the resort, Montoya terrifies the other contestants as he arrives screaming before Anita and Manuel stop having sex hearing the commotion outside.

With his girlfriend then running out the room and yelling at him, Montoya falls to the ground and starts screaming out, howling to the moon, before Sandra arrives and attempts to calm him down. Releasing the extent of her actions Anita then breaks down crying and runs to Montoya, trying to hug him before Sandra pushes her off and walks her away. The account who originally shared the clip on X, which in one day has been watched over 100 million times, captioned the post: ‘This is CINEMA…Montoya…the tension…you don’t need to speak Spanish to understand, this is insane.’.

‘The second they can get some English subtitles I’m locking tf in this is the greatest scene in television history,’ user indstry_plant commented. ‘You won’t regret watching even a second of this video. Neither will language be a barrier. absolute cinema,’ Chadil added. Meanwhile lj_bau said: ‘I loveeeee Temptation Island but watching your partner cheat in real time is INSANE.’. UK’s Super TV also quipped: ‘I have LITERALLY no idea what’s going on and yet it’s better than anything Love Island has produced in 5 years.’.

Providing some more context behind what unfolded, viewers of the show said Montoya previously explained how Anita was his first love. However, after another woman twerked on him on the reality show, Anita had sex with Manuel as ‘revenge’. I bought a house with my partner — but when we broke up, he refused to sell.
