Twisted crimes of Santa Claus serial killer who preyed on victims for 16 years before caught Serial killer Bruce McArthur preyed on vulnerable men who either had nowhere to go or lived a double life away from their friends and family.
He sought out victims in Toronto's gay village, targeting asylum seekers, homeless addicts and even one man who was secretly gay with a wife and children.
But behind his friendly exterior, he was a master manipulator who, for seven years, got away with killing men and burying their remains in plant pots of homes where McArthur did landscaping contracting.
McArthur, too, lived a double life, working as a Santa Claus in a shopping mall grotto and also as a landscape gardener.
The 72-year-old moved to the Toronto area in around 2000 and previously lived in a suburb, where he was married, raised two children, and worked as a travelling salesman of underwear and socks.
