Tyson Fury has seemingly announced his retirement from professional boxing following his second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk. The Gypsy King made the announcement in a video on his Instagram page on Monday. ‘Hi everybody, I’m going to make this short and sweet,’ the 36-year-old began the video.
‘I would like to announce my retirement from boxing. It’s been a blast. I’ve loved every single minute of it. ‘And I’m going to end with this… Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless everybody see you on the other side. Get up!’. Considered one the greatest boxers of all-time, Fury’s record stands at 34 wins from 37 fights, with his only two defeats coming against Usyk last year, the first on split decision and the second unanimously.
This announcement does come with a pinch of salt however, as Fury previously announced his retirement on his 34th birthday in 2022, only to make a dramatic return to the ring. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video.

Fury famously defeated Wladimir Klitschko to win the WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO heavyweight titles in 2015 though he later relinquished the titles due to personal issues.
